This app requires the SIMS personal awareness device. The app cannot function as a standalone tool — all sensing and detection is performed by the hardware device.
SIMS alerts you when a person is detected approaching from behind and lets you send a text message with your location to contacts you choose — only when you choose to send it. SIMS does not contact police, medical, fire, or any other emergency service or authority. In an emergency, call your local emergency number directly.
